Yorkshire Tea – Case Study

How did it start?
The Big Coffee was approached by Yorkshire Tea to makeover their “trusty tea van” – Little Urn. The mobile catering vehicle would be used to deliver “A Proper Brew” to people across the nation and abroad. The new and improved Little Urn II wheeled its way out of the factory straight to Lord’s Cricket Ground, to support Yorkshire Tea’s sponsorship of the England Cricket Team.
The Peugeot Boxer was the base model for our vehicle conversion as it offered a reliable drive and durability. We optimised work space in the vehicle with a bespoke back-box.
Following the brand…
We followed Yorkshire Tea’s brand guidelines in reference to the van’s colours. To ensure colour accuracy we painted the entire van in red, and we later applied the vibrant grassy green Yorkshire dales vinyl wrap.
Yorkshire Tea had a passionate marketing team behind them that knew what they wanted when it came to giving Little Urn II a unique stand-out style. We were thrilled to fulfil their request to add wheel covers that hinted at Yorkshire Tea’s history and endless future for selling teas across the nation.
“A beautiful picturesque landscape inside and out.”
Yorkshire Tea were extremely pleased with the final result and had this to say…
“Their vision to see through the challenging technical requirements of making 3,000 proper brews a day really won us over. We felt the team understood how important it was to us to get the brand look and feel right. Especially, when it came to colour matching and making sure the high standard of our brand came through in all of the quirky little details. The collaboration between our teams overall was a brilliant experience.
Little Urn drove straight down to Lord’s Cricket Ground following his completion to begin our summer of sampling at the England Test Matches. His makeover has been extremely well received, with our Facebook fans making comments such as ‘what a beauty’, ‘a right bobby dazzler’ and ‘like an ice cream van, but better!”
