Coffee D’Ash

I started the venture because I really enjoyed a previous job as a barista and, in my hometown of Barrow in Furness, there is a massive gap in the market for good coffee. We have three Costa franchises in the town and people are getting sick of overpaying for poor quality coffee. So, I decided to do something about it.

I’m passionate about coffee and it irritates me that there isn’t anywhere in town that has the same passion for coffee that I do.

We began working with Ash and his family over a year ago and wanted to help him turn his dream into reality. To kick-start the new business we hooked Ash up with our finance provider, Admiral leasing and loans; they were able to put the financials in place for this exciting new venture. We fabricated a stunning Coffee Pod –  a small light weight trailer, popular with street food and mobile coffee vendors alike.

Ash’s Pod was finished in Jet Black, giving it a classy look; the addition of his own branding and logos in vinyl was the icing on the cake. A powerful Fracino Contempo was installed – a coffee machine capable of delivering 400 espresso per hour. A key feature of this machine is its ability to work ‘off-grid’-  an essential feature of any great mobile catering trailer. This is made possible by combining two gas bottles at the front of the trailer with a high output battery inside the Pod. This was supplied as a ‘business in a box’ package, with other equipment including a grinder, knockout box and display fridge fitted underneath the counter.

I am blown away! This moment has been in the works with Rob & the team for over 12 months and it was worth the wait.

The team have been incredible to work with, from the initial quote to design and finally the handover, I just feel like the Big Coffee is the perfect choice. I am looking to get many more coffee Pods from The Big Coffee and I would always recommend them to everyone.
