How have your first few months of trading been?

When we set up The Green Bee, our mission was clear: to bring specialty coffee to the heart of Enfield Town.

Until we arrived, there was no specialty coffee offering on the high road, and we’ve been blown away by the response. People genuinely appreciate the quality of our coffee and the personal touch in our customer service. In just a few months, we’ve built a loyal community of regulars who make every day rewarding.

Any unexpected issues you’ve had to overcome?

Weather has been our biggest challenge! We underestimated just how much storms and high winds could impact our trading—40mph gusts and finely ground coffee do not mix well. We’ve joked that we’ve become the Enfield outpost of the Met Office because we’re glued to the weekly weather forecast.

Any hints or tips for new businesses considering taking the leap?

Know your values and stick to them. From day one, we’ve been committed to quality and consistency. Coming from outside the hospitality industry, we knew the right partnerships would be key. That’s why we carefully chose who we worked with, trusted their expertise, and collaborated closely to bring our vision to life.
